Leeds Art Gallery is a celebrated art gallery popular across the UK, referred to in The Times as ’Probably the best collection of the twentieth century British art outside London’.
The Gallery carries a large and diverse collection of art ranging from printwork and classical paintings to photography, sculptures and contemporary art. Walking through the gallery you will see well known pieces of art from famous local artists as well as those of national acclaim.
Leeds Art Gallery also has an intriguing Artspace for visitors to “work with different art materials in interesting ways, dream, reflect and share their thoughts about art with friends and family.”.
The Gallery also boasts a multi-media exhibition gallery which is certainly worth a visit and is sure to add to a unique and exciting day out.
Visiting Leeds Art Gallery
Opening Times
Mondays,Tuesdays, Thursdays to Saturdays from 10.00am to 5.00pm
Wednesdays from 12noon to 5.00pm
Sundays from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
The Leeds Art Gallery is closed on Bank Holidays.
Admission is free to the Gallery.
As well as the Artspace, there is also the Tiled Hall Café which serves both hot and cold food and drink, and a gift shop.

How To Find Leeds Art Gallery
By Train: come out of Leeds railway station and turn right on to Princes Square, then turn right onto Aire Street. As you walk down Aire Street it will change in to Wellington Street, continue on Wellington St then turn left on to Park Row, continue up Park Row for about 300 metres then turn right onto where the Art Gallery is located.
By Car: parking is available at the Albion Street Car Park which is part of the Headrow Shopping Centre. When you come out of the car park turn right on to Albion Street and walk for a few hundred feet to Headrow where you will see the Gallery.
