Recycling Centres in Leeds
Leeds is a city with a history of having been right at the centre of the industrial revolution, but it is also a city that has a reputation for looking after the environment.
Part of Leeds’ green environment projects are the recycling centres in the city of Leeds that offer the local community a place to dispose of their waste and have it recycled so that it may be reused instead of simply ending up on a landfill site.

Calverley Bridge
Claverley Bridge is the top recycling centre in Leeds, achieving a 99% recycling target due to the fact that it will only accept waste that is one hundred percent recyclable.

East Leeds
East Leeds is a large recycling centre that accepts most waste, although it does not currently accept business waste. If you are travelling in a van with home waste you can only come to East Leeds recycling centre on a Wednesday or Saturday.
You can dispose of Asbestos at East Leeds recycling centre, but there is a health and safety procedure involved so ring in advance for further information.

Kirkstall Road
Kirkstall Road is probably the main station in Leeds, acting as a waste transfer station.
While Kirkstall Road doesn’t accept business waste it does accept all kinds of home waste - the recycling centre asks that your waste be sorted between recyclable and waste products before you arrive.
You can dispose of asbestos at Kirkstall Road, but like East Leeds recycling centre there are health and safety procedures to follow, so a phone call in advance is required to understand what you need to do to dispose of it safely.
