Help the Aged + Age Concern: Leeds 10K Abbey Dash 22 November 2009

start-the-leeds-abbey-dashThe Leeds 10 Kilometre Abbey Dash is being held on the 22nd November 2009 to raise money and awareness for Age Concern and Help the Aged.


Open to all applicants over 16 years of age, the Leeds Dash is a unique road race over a fast and flat course which is great for beginners and for the more serious runners who wish to achieve a personal best.

This popular run, which has been voted as one of the top three road races in the UK, sells out every year so booking a place as soon as possible is a must, either by using the links below or by calling 020 7239 1982.

Runners will receive their own race pack with a guide, chip timer and running number; prizes will be awarded, and music and entertainment will take place along the route – and a Leeds Abbey Dash t-shirt when they cross the finish line!help-the-aged-logo

Fundraising and Sponsorship


leeds-abbey-dash-2007This year the organisers are aiming to raise £200,000 from the Leeds Abbey Dash to help isolated older people, which amounts to just under £35 in sponsorship per runner.

The proceeds raised from the Dash will fund a HandyVan service in the Leeds and West Yorkshire area to help older people feel safer in their homes.
