We have a night of great musical excitement in stall for y’all, so get those vocal chords warmed up and get ready to come sing your heart out on our brilliant karaoke night!

The plan is to meet outside Primark on the Headrow at 7pm on Saturday 23rd October and head to Hometown Restaurant, where we will enjoy a lovely meal before moving to the sing song rooms at around 9…pm.

2 rooms have been booked for the night, one with English songs and one with Chinese, so there’ll be something for everyone!

There will be a DRINK DISCOUNT of 20% going on all night – should you need a cheeky few to muffle those inhibitions!

A stall will be set up at Parky between 11am and 2pm on Tuesday and Wednesday (19th and 20th Oct), where you can come put your name down and pay for dinner so we have an idea of the numbers and can make reservations accordingly.

How To Find The Thackray Museum

The Museum is next to St. James’s Hospital, 2 miles to the North East of the city centre.

By Bus: Frequent bus services run from Leeds city centre. Numbers 4, 42, 49, 50, 50A, 61 all stop outside the Museum.

By Car: From M621 follow signs for York (A64) then follow the brown tourist signs. From the North, take the A58 towards the city, and then follow the brown tourist signs.

The UK’s foremost house music label is to host a one-off killer Halloween party at Mint Club, Leeds on Sat 30th October. Lining up for the revered imprint is live house outfit MYNC and long time prog champion Paolo Mojo, plus Dan Castro and local residents Luke Pompey and Hausjacker.

MYNC have been producing quality house music for years. Sometimes alone, or sometimes with the help of the likes of Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero, it’s always music which manages to find its way to the top of some Beatport chart and has such appeal it sees MYNC get booked to play all over the world at clubs such as Ministry of Sound (London), Home (Sydney), Pacha (New York), Space (Miami), Sanctuary (Dubai) and Ibiza’s greatest super-clubs such as Space and Pacha.

Brit Paolo Mojo also joins the party and is someone who is very much respected as a DJ by luminaries including John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox and Lee Burridge. He’s turned in mixes for everyone from Cr2 to Balance to Renaissance and has continually toured the world DJing since winning the Muzik magazine Bedlam competition almost ten years ago.

Expect Cr2’s Dan Castro to serve up the sort of sounds that have won fans including Laidback Luke, Axwell, David Guetta, Chuckie and more, and the residents to supply all manner of house and electro support and to make most use of Mint’s peerless Function ONE sound system and sense tingling LED disco panel.

Cr2 are used to throwing parties all over the world from Miami to Ibiza to ADE to Ministry of Sound, so expect something super special – and maybe a little freaky – tonight.

The organiser’s of this October’s Wedding and Lifestyle Show at the Yorkshire Event Centre, have come up with an innovative and imaginative way of keeping “the boys” amused whilst the girls look round the show!

The new area, entitled “The Man Creche”, will be themed in a Las Vegas style, so the potential grooms can enjoy games of Black Jack or Roulette, watch football highlights on the big screen, or just chill out in the lounge area with a drink!

Of course, the brides have not been forgotten. The Wedding and Lifestyle Show throws the spotlight on everything a bride could want on her big day, from couture bridal gowns to luxury venues, elegant stationery and bespoke flowers to gorgeous occasion-wear, stylish cars, beauty and styling, entertainment and, of course, the honeymoon. The show doesn’t forget the little touches either such as flavours, caricaturists, jewellery, lovely lingerie and much more.

The bridal fashion show will be produced for the first time by Red Ice Promotions. The 4 daily catwalk shows promise to be show stoppers, with professional models and dancers showcasing the every best in leading bridal couture, menswear and occasion wear from some of the hottest designers in the industry.

The Wedding and Lifestyle show takes place in Hall 2 at the Yorkshire Event Centre on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October, open from 10am to 4pm daily.
